Sure, Scandinavians may be a tall, trendy, gorgeous, rich and a generally happy bunch, but they gave the world LEGO. And LEGO blocks aren’t fun to step on. Fine, LEGO’s awesome, too. Somehow, this slick collection of nations managed to get everything right. On this trip, we’ll discover exactly what makes these people so damn cool. We’ll hang out in Copenhagen’s colourful harbour, explore the lively streets of Oslo, and succumb to the gorgeous glitz of Stockholm. We’ll learn about Vikings, gawk at the endless parades of leggy blondes and bearded lumberjacks, and fill our greedy bellies with as many meatballs as humanly possible.

We spend 7 days exploring Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden. We visit Berlin, Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm.

Day 1

Berlin to Copenhagen

Our sultry adventure begins as we depart Berlin with Copenhagen as our destination. Sit back, relax and brush up on your Viking war poetry as you enjoy our comfy coach and gaze wistfully at the idyllic German countryside. Once we reach the coast, we’ll board our ferry and set sail to our Danish destination. We’ll arrive in the late afternoon, so get checked in and prepare for an optional dinner. Afterwards, feel free to acquaint yourself with the city at your leisure or join us for an optional pub crawl.

Day 2

Copenhagen

This morning, our fabulous Busabout guide will lead us on an orientation walk of the city, highlighting the fantastic sights on offer. Spend the afternoon checking out the many museums, fountains, parks and sculptures, before grabbing a bite to eat in one of Denmark’s world-renowned restaurants. Alternatively, shop until Thor strikes you down in the maze of eclectic storefronts. For the more free-spirited, head out to Freetown Christiania, a local anarchist community living on a former military base. This rebel stronghold is bustling with unique architecture, murals and ideals. Tonight, join us for a trip to Tivoli Gardens where you can enjoy rides and games in the world’s second oldest amusement park! - Breakfast included

Day 3

Copenhagen to Oslo

Copenhagen’s been fun but Oslo awaits, so we board our ferry and continue into the thumping heart of Norway. We’ll arrive in the Norwegian capital come late afternoon, following a quick stop off at Frogner Park. A sprawling utopia of greenland, Frogner park is home to the exquisite Frogner Manor as well as the Vigeland Sculpture Park––the world’s largest sculpture park made by a single artist. On arrival, we’ll soak up the sights of this outstanding city. This evening, we’ll head for dinner and drinks at a local brewery, where we’ll recharge and prepare for a day of exploration tomorrow. - Breakfast included

Day 4

Oslo

Oslo, the opulent jewel of Norway, welcomes you to explore its historic streets today. Find this ancient city’s hidden gems, like the charming, time-locked streets of Damstredet & Telthusbakken. Or join us on an optional Viking Biking Tour if you wish to explore the region’s rich history by pedal power. We also offer an island fjord hopping tour, where you can enjoy the gently lapping waves. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, head to the mouth-watering Oslo food markets to sate your culinary needs. This evening, we’ll walk to watch the sunset from the Opera House for a view you’ll not soon forget. Enjoy the rest of your evening exploring Oslo’s nightlife. - Breakfast included

Day 5

Oslo to Stockholm

Sweden’s next! We recommend keeping cameras handy as we’ll be stopping for a picnic along the northern shores of the largest lake in the European Union, Lake Vanern. After basking in Lake Vanern’s glory, we’ll get the show back on the road and arrive in Stockholm for the afternoon. Sure, we’ve only just arrived but why wait? We’re off to sample the local delicacy: Swedish meatballs! Once we’ve had our fill of meatballs, we’ll head for some booze in Gamla Stan, Stockholm’s Old Town. Tonight, drink like a Viking, absorb the Scandinavian atmosphere and party the night away! - Breakfast included

Day 6

Stockholm

Today marks the last full day of our Scandinavian adventure but there’s no time for broken hearts or sorrowful violin sonnets, and we’ll be kicking off the day with an included Vikings walking tour. Join us on a voyage through the rich local lore of the world’s most infamous seafaring pillagers, where you’ll learn of the conquests, beliefs, and pageantry of history’s fiercest warriors. Afterwards, take the time to explore the Swedish capital and its many sights on your own terms. Just be sure to visit the Old Town and its medieval streets! This evening, we offer an optional excursion to an ice bar, so join us for a couple of (very, very) cold ones! - Brekfast included

Day 7

Stockholm

Check-out is after breakfast! Time to say goodbye to your new friends. We hope to see you again! - Breakfast included
